Acid reflux also known as gastro esophageal reflux is basically a digestive disorder and very common problem. It happens when the esophagus valve does not function properly. In this condition, acid flows backward into the esophagus from the stomach and result into abdominal pain, belching, bloating and queasiness. Generally, these medications should not be given to the children below age 12 unless doctor prescribes it.
